ARCA SWISS - Monoball spigot Z1 + sp with 3/8 thread pitch (801102):



Even ball joint as the MONOBALL Z1 sp (801101), same features, except the screw thread which is the "big" thread 3/8.

This is most common on heavy appliances, such as bedrooms, or older appliances.


Note: you can mount cameras with a 3/8 pitch on a ball head equipped with a 1/4 male screw: just have the small accessory needed. Morality: if you hesitate, prefer the purchase of 1/4 and join the purchase the nut of aptation!


The ARCA-SWISS Monoball Z1 ball joint is an improved version of the legendary Monoball B1 ball head. The ball joints of the Z series are both more elegant and more accomplished.

The size and weight of the patella were significantly reduced, yet the capacity of the patella was further improved.

sp (= simple panning) indicates the presence of a rotation at the base of the ball joint: the ARCA-SWISS Monoball can thus describe on its base a rotation of 360 degrees.

The 1/4 "screw pitch is the one that equips most digital devices today.

Fixing to the device is done by screwing the disk (threaded disk) directly on the thread of the device. We do not recommend this solution which can quickly damage, by frequent screwing / unscrewing that causes, the base of the device.

Always prefer the purchase of ball joints equipped with quick fix devices below: the tray is once and for all screwed to the device; the apparatus is then engaged in the fast vice of the patella. The handling is very fast. You can install as many quick plates as there are devices that can be mounted on the ball joint.
