The GXP has a wide range of important new features and continues Acratech's tradition of world-class quality.


Our Acratech GXP ball head is specially designed to function as a ball head, gimbal head and leveling pan head. It's like having 3 pieces of gear all wrapped up in one beautiful, lightweight unit!

The Gimbal action will allow you to shoot like a pro. The Gimbal function works with any lens (up to 400mm F4.0) that has a tripod collar. The pin on the bottom of the ball and the sleeve on the ball stem are what create a smooth pivot for the gimbal.

Unscrew the quick release clamp and place it on the bottom of the head and you are now ready to use the GXP Ball Head to create single row level panoramas. This eliminates the need to carry a separate leveling base in order to create accurate stitched panoramas, as you will be able to pan parallel to the horizon even when using your tripod on rocky or uneven terrain.

All Acratech heads are designed and built to be lightweight for travel photography and tough for the active outdoor photographer. The open structure allows moisture, dirt and debris to pass through instead of being trapped inside a socket.

Available with our Arca Swiss style quick release, button or locking lever clamp.
